Mustika Pearls

The abilities of the Mustika to elevate psychic and spiritual awareness and enhance psychic abilities have also been well documented. Many have written about the healing powers of the Mustika Pearls and Bezoar Stones. However this only scratches the surface of the actual power of the Mustika. The Mustika are weaved into the very forces of nature, and as such can be used for more Arcane practices such as the casting of spells.

In the conventional metaphysical sense, the word “charm” is equivalent to the word “spell.” A charm was an incantation spoken or sung by a shaman or medicine man to bring about a specific magical event. Over the years and especially in the more “western” incarnation of magical practices or witchcraft, the meaning of the word  “charm” has  become garbled to refer more often to a physical magical object. Certainly by this definition, Mustika are powerful magical charms, and many will obtain them strictly as so called “good luck charms” or talismans of good fortune. However in the hands of the truly skilled, the Mustika Pearls and Bezoar Stones without a doubt fit the more traditional definition of charms.

Spell casters of every tradition, from Shamanism to Voodoo, can find a Mustika that can be used to aid in specific rituals or spellcasting. However, given that Mustika are most often coupled with positive energies, usually form as the result of positive psychic events and associated with Natural Spirits, Elementals, and other Holy Beings they are far more helpful when used in the casting of so- called White Magic spells.  This would consist of primarily love spells, spells designed to bring good luck or good fortune, and spells of protection against negative energies or “dark forces” of all sorts.

Any practitioner of Magic in any of its forms understands that once the step into the spiritual and psychic world has been taken, one opens their mind and their soul up to powerful forces, not all of which are benign. The institution of a White Magic Shield is necessary for mental and psychic well being. The Mustika can be powerful allies when casting spells to launch such psychic self defenses.

Wiccans especially should find the Mustika helpful in their spells and ritual. While often referred to as “witches”   Wicca is a actually an ancient religion based on the worship of the “Goddess”- or Mother Earth. Wiccans value nature and revere all life on the planet. The Mustika are Nature, their powers are the powers of the Elemental Spirits that have bound themselves to the stones and to the souls of the living creatures within which they formed. 

Of course, regardless of the tradition any spells, charms, songs or incantations of healing can be enhanced by the use of a Mustika while chanting the spell, as will any spell dealing with the forces of nature such as spells to conjure or end rain or other natural occurrences. Spells that appeal to totemic powers, or call upon the invocation of Animal Spirits, also are deeply enhanced by the Mustika owing to their affinity with nature and their organic origins.
